Türkiye is facing a serious inflation crisis that is making life difficult for many people. In April, inflation rose again to over 32 percent, meaning the prices of everyday goods are increasing quickly. Families are paying more for food, transport, housing, and energy, while wages are not rising at the same speed. This creates stress for households, especially those with low or fixed incomes. The rise in prices is partly linked to global tensions in the Middle East, which have affected energy costs and trade. Türkiye has been struggling with high inflation for several years, and at one point, it went above 85 percent, which was extremely damaging for the economy. The central bank has tried to control the situation by adjusting interest rates, but progress has been slow. Even though there were hopes for improvement, recent data show that inflation is still rising. Many people are now worried about their future and daily living costs.

Pray for the restoration of Türkiye’s economy. Pray for the success of the Turkish government’s efforts to end the financial crisis and stabilize the nation’s economy (The Holy Bible, Psalm 118:25).

Pray for divine wisdom for the authorities to implement effective and specific policies that lead to lasting change in the lives of the people suffering financial insecurity in Türkiye. Pray for wise counsel for the authorities to take action that promotes economic resilience in the face of global economic changes (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 3:5-6).
