Sudan is facing a heartbreaking hunger crisis as war continues to destroy lives across the country. About 19.5 million people are struggling every day without enough food, clean water, or medical care. Families who once lived normal lives are now forced to survive by eating leaves, animal feed, and scraps from abandoned slaughterhouses. Children are suffering the most, with many facing severe malnutrition that could threaten their lives. Fighting between armed groups has damaged roads, markets, hospitals, and farms, making it difficult for aid to reach those in need. Many people have also been forced to flee their homes and live in overcrowded camps with little support. Humanitarian workers warn that the crisis may worsen during the rainy season, when food shortages often intensify. The crisis is not just about numbers, but about millions of human lives filled with fear, hunger, and uncertainty.
Sovereign LORD, we pray for Your divine intervention in Sudan to end the violence and to bring peace and stability. We cover all the Sudanese people under the Precious Blood of our LORD Jesus Christ (The Holy Bible, Psalm 57:1).
Jehovah Jireh, we cry out for the millions in Sudan, especially children, suffering from hunger and undernourishment. Open wider doors for unhindered humanitarian aid and health services to reach the people in need, especially children, at the right time (The Holy Bible, Psalm 146:7).
