The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have launched missiles at Israel on March 28th, marking their first attack since the U.S.–Israel war with Iran began. They said they targeted Israeli military sites and promised to continue strikes until what they call “aggression against all resistance fronts” stops. Israel reported intercepting two missiles, but the move has raised new fears of wider war. The Houthis already control Yemen’s Red Sea coast and have previously attacked ships in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, a key global trade route linking the Red Sea to the Suez Canal. Almost 15% of the world’s sea trade passes through this area, and past attacks have forced ships to take longer routes around Africa, resulting in increased costs and delays. Experts warn that further escalation could disrupt energy supplies and lead to increased global oil prices. With US and Israeli strikes on Iran continuing and tensions growing, the Houthis’ entry adds another dangerous front to an already expanding regional conflict.

Pray against all the alliances between Houthis and Iran, and other terrorist groups in the region. Pray for the LORD to cut off all financial support between these evil networks that expand the current regional conflict (The Holy Bible, Psalm 34:16).

Pray for the LORD’S intervention in the region to destroy all the extremist groups and their evil agenda against the innocent civilians and nations. Pray for the LORD’S peace and justice to prevail in the region (The Holy Bible, Nehemiah 4:20).
