The Houthis said they may target only ships linked to countries involved in attacks on Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, and Iraq. However, experts warn that any closure could affect global trade and energy supply. Shipping companies may face delays, higher costs, and increased risks. Many countries rely on this route, so tensions in the region could harm the global economy and increase fuel prices for consumers worldwide.
