The relationship between North Korea and Russia has significantly improved since the start of the war in Ukraine. North Korea is now regarded as the most important military ally of Russia by providing the country with thousands of troops, engineers, as well as massive amounts of weaponry and ammunition. Thousands of North Korean soldiers were reported to be wounded and killed while serving Russia in Ukraine. Kim Jong Un highly praises their alliance, calling it a bond formed out of suffering and hardships. The relationship between these two nations has greatly evolved because Russia has no choice but to rely on its North Korean ally, as it does not receive military help from many of its other allies. The main benefits for North Korea include strengthened political relations with Russia and increased international support. North Korea and Russia have similar stances when it comes to rejecting Western dominance and international intervention. Nevertheless, their partnership has developed due to their mutual isolation and need rather than trust.

Pray for the LORD to expose and uproot systems of exploitation of innocent civilians of North Korea, both foreign and domestic. Pray for the LORD to protect them from every form of oppression in the name of the partnership between North Korea and Russia (The Holy Bible, Psalm 33:11).

Pray for an improved economic situation in North Korea. Pray for the government to implement effective measures to improve the lives and livelihoods of the civilians (The Holy Bible, Psalm 20:9).
