June 8 marks the International Day for the Unreached, highlighting over 3 billion people who’ve never heard of Jesus. One powerful transformation story began in 1910 with the Hmar, a feared headhunting tribe in northeast India. Welsh missionary Watkin Roberts sent them the Gospel of John. Defying British orders, he traveled to the Hmar village when the chiefs asked for help understanding it. In just five days, Roberts explained the Gospel, comparing Jesus to a sacrificial peace offering, something the Hmar understood deeply. One young tribesman, Chawnga, accepted Christ and passed on the faith to his son, Rochunga, who later founded Bibles For the World, distributing 100 million Bibles globally. This story, shared by current president John Pudaite, shows how reaching one unreached group can impact millions. This Sunday (08th June 2025), Christians are urged to pray and act so that others like the Hmar may hear the Gospel, perhaps even answering the call to go themselves.
Praise GOD for HIS supernatural ways of encounters among the unreached in the 1040 Window. Praise GOD for the mission agencies and workers who have worked and are working among the unreached to share the Gospel of Christ (The Holy Bible, Matthew 28:18-20).
Pray for a deeper spiritual hunger among the unreached people groups, which will be satisfied only by the Savior, Jesus Christ (The Holy Bible, John 6:35).
Pray for spiritual fruits and gifts for all the mission agencies, evangelistic workers, Church planters, children’s workers, and Pastors in the 10/40 Window. Pray for the Heavenly Wisdom for the mission agencies for the Holy Bible translation works (The Holy Bible, Acts 4:24-31).
