Lebanon is living through a very tense situation, even though there is a fragile ceasefire with Israel. Many people hope for calm, but fighting and air attacks have not fully stopped. Israel still controls parts of southern Lebanon, and many families cannot return to their homes. There is also talk about a possible meeting between President Joseph Aoun, United States President Donald Trump, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. While this could be historic, it will not fix the deeper problems. The conflict has long roots, going back many years of war, political struggles, and foreign involvement. Hezbollah, a powerful group in Lebanon, grew stronger because of past invasions and ongoing tensions. Iran supports Hezbollah, which adds to the complexity of the situation. Many experts believe that using force will not bring real peace. Instead, it may create more anger and damage. For Lebanon, true peace will only come through serious talks and fair political solutions.
Pray for the leaders of Lebanon and Israel to uphold the ceasefire agreement. Pray for the authorities to work in one accord to stabilize the country and the Middle East region. Pray against all foreign influences exacerbating the conflict in the region. Pray for the LORD to raise peacemakers to end the war between Lebanon and Israel (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 11:14).
Pray for divine protection and healing upon all the people facing uncertainty and violence in Lebanon and in the region. Pray for peace and justice to prevail in the region (The Holy Bible, Psalm 147:14).
