Recent heavy rains have caused severe flooding in northern Türkiye, particularly in the Havza district of Samsun province, near the Black Sea coast. Heavy rain fell suddenly and made nearby rivers overflow, turning streets into fast-moving streams. Water entered homes and businesses, damaging many buildings and covering basements and ground floors. Cars were swept away, and roads became dangerous and blocked by mud and debris. Some people were trapped and had to wait for rescue teams to arrive. At least 12 people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Firefighters, police, and disaster response teams worked quickly to help residents, rescue stranded families, and clear flooded areas. This event shows how quickly the weather can change life for many people. As water levels go down, families are now trying to clean their homes and slowly rebuild their lives after the flood damage.
Pray for divine protection and provision for all the flood victims in Türkiye. Pray for them to have immediate access to food, shelter, and other basic needs. Pray for divine comfort and strength for them as they rebuild their lives after the flood damage (The Holy Bible, Lamentations 3:56).
Pray for an improved, more effective disaster management system in Türkiye to better tackle severe weather and protect civilians. Pray for divine protection for all the Türkish people from natural disasters (The Holy Bible, Psalm 33:20).
