In terms of economic growth in the 2000s, Africa is one of the fastest growing regions. Six of the world’s fastest growing nations are in Africa. However, Guinea Bissau is not one of them. According to the World Bank, Guinea Bissau is one of the few countries where economic growth has stagnated and poverty has even increased in recent years. Two of the significant reasons for this include lack of access to credit for small businesses enabling them to grow, and secondly, political instability. Pray for stability in the new government. Pray for creative solutions that will prosper this nation (The Bible, 3 John 1:2).
