Following meetings between representatives of the US government and the Taliban, the US has begun talking about potentially withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan. However many Afghans have expressed concerns about their own future peace, stability and freedom following a US withdrawal. Some say the US talks with the Taliban will only truly be successful if the outcomes are direct negotiations between the Taliban and Afghan stakeholders. Pray for these delicate negotiations to be covered with the Lord’s wisdom, rather than that of man (The Bible, 1 Kings 5:12).
