Israeli authorities have approved construction of more than 20,000 new settler units in the occupied West Bank. The units would be built in Maale Adumim urban settlement, east of East Jerusalem. A comprehensive development agreement was reached between Israel’s Ministry of Construction and Housing and the Maale Adumim authorities to construct fresh units in the settlement over the coming years. Peace Now says in the year and a half since American President Donald Trump took office, the construction of 14,454 units in the occupied West Bank has been approved. Pray that the new housing project will become a blessing to people in West Bank. Pray that these weary people in life will find real rest in God (The Bible, Matthew 11:28).

UNRWA DC’s acting director described her last trip to Gaza. UNRWA counselors—who are refugees themselves—told harrowing stories about Gaza’s mental health crisis. Gazans suffer from trauma due to repeated military assaults and the continued blockade. Gaza’s children and their families need access to counsellors to help them deal with trauma, stress, depression and other mental health issues. They can’t do their jobs if they lose funding, and it is the children who will suffer without these services. Pray that the mentally traumatized people of Gaza will benefit through the counselling programs. Pray that the project will have continuous funding and support to save the children (The Bible, Isaiah 1:17).
