Brazilian missionaries and pastors are experiencing significant successes with church planting in East Timor. Sharing the same language, they are able to quickly build bridges. Some of the new Christians come from animist backgrounds, some from Catholic backgrounds. Many report facing opposition to their newfound faith, including physical violence and attempts to burn down their homes.

Praise God that the Church continues to grow.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will renew and revive the Catholic Church as well as the evangelical Church (The Bible, 1 Peter 3:15).
