Christians in Syria face many difficulties because of the ongoing conflict and changes in control of cities like Aleppo. Many families have lost their homes, jobs, and schools for their children. Some, like Nermen’s family, fled villages because of attacks and lived in unsafe houses with few belongings. They had to work hard just to survive, and children had to leave school to help. Despite these hardships, some Christians have found hope in their faith. Local churches and organizations, like Open Doors, help families by providing support, discipleship training, and assistance to repair homes. Faith brings comfort, strength, and a sense of community during very difficult times. Even when life is hard, Christian families continue to practice their faith, help each other, and try to rebuild safe and stable lives, showing resilience, courage, and hope for the future. Their stories reflect both struggle and perseverance.
Almighty GOD, You are the GOD of Restoration. We plead Your divine intervention in the desolate land of Syria. Breathe Your Life once again into this land and rebuild the lives and livelihoods of all the Syrians (The Holy Bible, Joel 2:25).
Pray for the LORD to bless the resources and financial support needed to rebuild the damaged infrastructure and to restore essential services in Syria. Pray for the LORD to strengthen the Syrians, especially believers, for this good work (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 28:12).
