The Bengali Muslim people group in Bangladesh is one of the largest unreached groups in the world, with more than 135 million people living across cities, towns, and villages. Most people speak Bengali and follow Islamic traditions that shape their daily life, family values, and community culture. Even though Bangladesh has grown in education and economy, many people still face poverty, climate challenges, and limited access to healthcare. Spiritually, this group is considered “unreached” because very few have heard the Christian message in a clear and personal way, and there are only a small number of believers among them. Mission work among Bengali Muslims is often quiet and relational, focusing on friendship, education, medical care, and community support rather than open preaching. Mission workers try to serve by building trust, helping families, and showing care through practical actions. Some local and international missions also focus on translation work, Bible sharing in simple language, and training small groups of believers.
Father GOD, as Your WORD promises in Psalm 2:8, we claim the ‘Bengali Muslim’ community in Bangladesh as an inheritance. Break down the barriers and draw them to Yourself through Your SON Jesus Christ, our LORD. May they find eternal hope and peace in You. Amen (The Holy Bible, Psalm 2:8).
Let the strongholds of Islam among the Bengali Muslim community be broken in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, our LORD and Savior. Let them experience a transformative conviction in their hearts, which leads them to confess their faith in Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior (The Holy Bible, Romans 10:9).
Lord Holy Spirit, equip and empower the missionaries working among the Bengali Muslim community in Bangladesh. Anoint them more with Your Gifts for this harvest field (The Holy Bible, Matthew 9:37-38).
