In Yemen, women and girls are facing increasing risks of gender-based violence as economic hardship and insecurity continue to grow. A recent report shows that in southern and eastern governorates like Aden, Taiz, and Hadramout, many survivors struggle to get help. Ongoing displacement, poverty, power cuts, and rising costs have made daily life harder and increased safety risks. Many women are afraid to report violence because of stigma or fear of retaliation. Support centres and safe spaces for women and girls have also closed due to a lack of funding, leaving fewer places for help. The report says that recorded cases represent only a small part of the real problem, as many incidents go unreported. Aid workers warn that the situation may worsen if services are not restored. Despite these challenges, humanitarian groups continue to collect data and support survivors, hoping to improve protection and awareness in the future.

Papa GOD, we plead Your divine Presence and Strength for all the women and girls in Yemen. Be with them, Father, and help them to stand firm during this time of stress, struggle, loneliness, and uncertainty. Cover all these vulnerable souls under Your Mighty Wings from all evil (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 43:2-3).

Pray for the availability of increased support services to the victims of gender-based discrimination in Yemen. Pray for the authorities to take more effective action to end the violence against women and girls in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 37:6).
