Niger is facing growing insecurity and instability as violent extremist groups expand across the Sahel region. After a military takeover in 2023, international support for counterterrorism has weakened, leaving security forces with fewer resources and less coordination. Armed groups have taken advantage of this situation to increase attacks on villages, military posts, and civilians, especially in border areas. Many families now live in fear and have been forced to flee their homes. Niger is also part of a region that struggles with poverty, weak government systems, and climate challenges such as drought, which make life even harder for people. Farmers and herders struggle to find food and water, which increases tensions in rural communities. At the same time, political uncertainty and strained relations with foreign partners have reduced outside assistance. Despite all these challenges, people in Niger still hope for peace and stability.

Pray for the Holy Spirit of GOD to reveal the secret agendas of the leaders of all extremist groups in the Sahel region. Pray for the LORD to cut all the illegal cooperation and funding between them (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 10:3).

Pray for the perpetrators behind all the violence against innocent civilians and the peace of the nations in the Sahel region to be made accountable for their evil acts. Pray for justice and peace to prevail in the region (The Holy Bible, Psalm 140:12).

Pray for the extremists in Niger and other countries in the Sahel region to encounter the Love of GOD in supernatural ways. Pray for the untransformed hearts of the evildoers to perish by the breadth of the LORD’s anger. Let the roaring violence against the innocent people in the country be broken, in Jesus’s Mighty Name (The Holy Bible, Job 4:9-10).
