Corruption in Saudi Arabia is being strongly addressed through recent government action. The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, known as Nazaha, carried out a large campaign in April 2026 to investigate wrongdoing in public offices. During this period, officials completed 3,041 inspection rounds across different government bodies. These efforts led to investigations involving 259 individuals and the arrest of 97 government employees. The cases involve serious offences such as bribery, misappropriation, and abuse of public office. The accused worked in several ministries, including interior, defence, health, housing, human resources, and Islamic affairs. These efforts aim to protect public resources and ensure that workers act responsibly. While corruption remains a challenge, continued enforcement and transparency can help build a fairer and more trustworthy system for citizens in the future.

Pray for reforms and breakthroughs in Saudi Arabia’s governance. Pray for the truth, transparency, and justice to uproot corruption at every level of government in the country (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 16:19).

Pray for the legal system in Saudi Arabia to act with fairness and independence. Pray for the authorities to take action to rebuild public trust in the country (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 29:26).
