Gunmen opened fire on civilians at a popular picnic spot in Afghanistan, resulting in at least 11 deaths. The attack took place on 10th March in the Enjil district of Herat. Initially, officials reported four deaths, but seven more injured later died. The unidentified attackers, armed and on motorcycles, targeted people near Deh Mehri village, a location known for rest and prayer. Most of the victims were Shia Muslims, a minority group that has previously faced attacks in Afghanistan. Taliban official Ahmadullah Muttaqi confirmed the afternoon attack and said several wounded, including women, were taken to the hospital. Security forces have arrested one suspect. No group has claimed responsibility, and the investigation is ongoing.

Pray for divine protection upon all the innocent civilians in Afghanistan, especially all religious minorities, from all attacks. Pray for an improved security system in the country. Pray for the perpetrators behind this violent attack to be brought to justice soon. (The Holy Bible, Psalm 9:9).

Pray for divine comfort for all the families of the deceased victims. Pray for divine healing power upon all the injured victims. (The Holy Bible, Exodus 15:26).
