In Nigeria, the conflict between herders and farmers has been going on for a long time. This conflict has been causing fear in many rural communities. In states like Plateau, the conflict arises mainly due to issues of land and water. Farmers in this area are mostly Christians, while the herders belong to the Fulani ethnic group, who are mostly Muslims. However, this conflict has also become somewhat sectarian in nature. Both parties have been attacked, and many have lost their lives. Some have also lost their farms and cattle. Both parties have complaints and feel that injustice has been done to them. However, efforts are being made to reduce tensions between herders and farmers. There are dialogues going on, and many are working to promote peace in the area. However, conflicts are still happening in some parts. Many are hoping that peace will soon be achieved in this area.

O LORD, our Father, we plead for Your Love to supernaturally fill the hearts of the farmers and herders in Nigeria to end the ethnic and religious tensions between them. We pray for their peaceful coexistence and harmonious living together in their homeland (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 31:24).

Pray for wise counsel for the Nigerian authorities to improve the security system across the nation. Pray for them to come up with creative ways to end the conflict between farmers and herders in the country (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 16:19).
