The new plan to build nine border posts near Afghanistan shows how China is helping improve security while also protecting its own interests. Chinese companies and engineers are involved in building infrastructure and supplying equipment. China has also helped create surveillance systems in Tajikistan, which allow the government to monitor communication. Over the years, China has built many security bases and facilities in the country. This shows that its role is not only economic but also strategic. While Russia remains an important military partner, China focuses more on border control and safety. This growing influence gives China an important role in Tajikistan’s development and security decisions.

Pray for the LORD to expose and uproot systems of exploitation in Tajikistan, both foreign and domestic. Pray for the LORD to protect the nation from every form of oppression in the name of partnership (The Holy Bible, Psalm 33:11).
