Rising violence in South Sudan is causing serious concern among religious leaders and aid groups. They warn that the country could fall back into civil war if fighting continues. Church groups, such as the South Sudan Council of Churches, are urging leaders to cease military actions and opt for dialogue instead. Aid organizations say attacks on villages and workers are increasing, making it harder to deliver food and medical help. The government, led by Salva Kiir, says military action is needed for security, but critics fear it may worsen the situation. The past conflict between Kiir and Riek Machar caused great suffering and loss of life. Many people are already struggling with hunger, poverty, and displacement. Humanitarian groups and churches are urging peace and the protection of civilians. They stress that only talk and cooperation can prevent more deaths and bring stability to the country.

Sovereign LORD, we pray for Your divine intervention in the nation of South Sudan against the increasing violence and insecurity. Let Your justice and peace dominate in this country against all suppression from man and the evil one. In the Majestic Name of our Savior, Jesus Christ’s Name, Amen (The Holy Bible, Psalm 9:7-8).

Pray for divine protection upon all South Sudanese people. Pray for humanitarian aid, and other basic needs of the people in South Sudan to reach them on time and without any hindrance (The Holy Bible, Psalm 40:17).
