The civil war in Sudan is approaching its fourth year, and the conflict shows no clear sign of ending. Fighting continues between the national army led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. Control of territory has changed several times, but neither side has achieved a decisive victory. The war has also drawn in many regional and international powers that support different sides. Countries such as Egypt, Qatar, and Iran support the Sudanese army, while the United Arab Emirates is widely reported to support the Rapid Support Forces. These external supporters provide money, weapons, and logistics, which have helped prolong the fighting. As a result, the conflict is spreading across the region, especially into the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea area. Civilians are suffering the most, with many people displaced and facing violence. International diplomatic efforts continue, but regional rivalries make reaching peace extremely difficult.

Pray for the end of the proxy war in Sudan. Pray against the foreign powers’ support and involvement in the ongoing conflict. Pray for the LORD to cut off all the financial support that prolongs the war in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 34:16).

Pray for the LORD’s intervention in the region to destroy all the extremist groups and their evil agenda against the innocent civilians and nations. Pray for the LORD to restore and rebuild the lives and livelihoods of the people in Sudan and in the region (The Holy Bible, Nehemiah 4:20).
