A potential military crisis erupted when a missile heading toward Türkish airspace was shot down by NATO air defense systems, according to Türkiye’s defense ministry. The Iranian ballistic missile had crossed Iraqi and Syrian airspace before it was intercepted over the eastern Mediterranean. Debris from the missile was later found in the Dortyol district of Hatay province, but officials said no one was injured. Türkiye warned that it would protect its territory from any threats while continuing to work with NATO and its allies. The incident happened during rising tensions in the region after US and Israeli attacks on Iran. In response, Iranian forces have launched missiles toward several Gulf countries, damaging buildings and energy facilities and increasing fears of a wider regional conflict. Türkiye had tried to mediate between the United States and Iran before the attacks, but those diplomatic efforts failed. Meanwhile, Türkiye’s pro-Kurdish DEM Party criticized the war, saying change in Iran should come from its people rather than from foreign military intervention and pressure.

Praise GOD for the interception of the missile towards Türkiye. Pray for wise counsel for the authorities to take more effective precautionary measures to safeguard the nation’s security system. Pray for divine protection for all civilians in the country and the region (The Holy Bible, Psalm 17:8).

Pray for the spirit of reconciliation and the spirit of oneness among the international leaders to end the uprising war situation in the Middle East region. Pray for the end of the violence and restoration of stability in the region (The Holy Bible, Psalm 82:3).
