Gender-based violence in Tajikistan remains a serious and ongoing human rights problem. A recent report by the International Commission of Jurists explains that many women do not receive proper protection or justice. Although some laws and national strategies exist, they are not fully enforced in practice. Domestic violence is not treated as a separate crime, and marital rape is not clearly recognized in the law. Many cases of sexual violence focus only on physical force instead of consent. Women who report abuse often face many obstacles. Police may ask them to collect evidence or pay for medical exams. Protection orders are weak and not always enforced. Survivors are sometimes pressured to return to their abusers. Shelters and free legal aid are limited, especially in rural areas. Social stigma and fear prevent many women from speaking out. Stronger laws, better services, and changes in attitudes are urgently needed to protect women.

Almighty GOD, You are the Great Help, the Deliverer, and the One who thinks upon the poor, vulnerable, and needy. Intervene in Tajikistan without delay for the women and girls who have been mistreated. Deliver them from all evil (The Holy Bible, Psalm 40:17).

Pray against the gender-based violence in Tajikistan. Pray for the government to take more effective action to protect women and girls from exploitation and abuse. Pray for divine protection upon all the women and girls in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 72:4).
