In Algeria, most people belong to what mission groups refer to as unreached people groups. This means there are very few Christians among them and not enough local churches to effectively share the Gospel. Out of 43 people groups in the country, about 38 are considered unreached. This accounts for approximately 88 percent of all groups in Algeria. Nearly the whole population, more than 47 million people, lives in these unreached communities. The largest group is the Arabic-speaking Algerian people, who comprise over 34 million individuals. Most of them follow Islam and have little contact with Christianity. There are also several Berber groups, including the Kabyle, Shawiya, and Mozabite, as well as different Bedouin communities. These groups have their own languages and cultural traditions. Due to the small Christian population, there are limited churches and Christian resources available. Many mission organizations claim that there is still a significant need for respectful outreach and community support in Algeria.

Almighty GOD, nothing can prevent You from delivering, whether by many or by a few. Only You can deliver the unreached people in Algeria from the strongholds of Islam. Equip and use the very few believers in the nation to save the non-believers from death and hell (The Holy Bible, 1 Samuel 14:6).

Pray for the Holy Spirit of GOD to open the hearts and minds of the non-believers in Algeria to be receptive to the Gospel. Pray for the LORD to use both the Christians and Mission workers in the nation to bring a season of repentance and revival among the unreached Algerians (The Holy Bible, 2 Corinthians 5:20).
