Lebanon showed a small economic improvement in 2025, but the recovery remains weak and uncertain. After years of deep financial collapse, some institutions reported modest growth, mainly due to tourism, remittances from abroad, and a stable exchange rate. Inflation slowed, and economic numbers looked better on paper. However, daily life did not improve much for most people, as prices stayed high and wages remained low. The biggest problem is the banking sector, where deposits have been frozen for years, and losses are still unresolved. A new law passed in late 2025 aims to deal with this crisis by protecting small depositors and restructuring large deposits, but it still needs approval by Parliament. The International Monetary Fund has made clear that no financial help will come without clear reforms, especially in banking and public finance. Overall, Lebanon’s economy shows temporary stability, but without real reforms, recovery may not last and risks turning into deeper isolation.

Pray for the restoration of the economy of Lebanon. Pray for the success of the efforts of the government of Lebanon to end the financial crisis and to stabilize the economy of the nation. Pray for more international support to improve the economic status of the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 118:25).

Pray for divine wisdom for the authorities to implement effective and specific policies that lead to lasting change in the lives of the people suffering financial insecurity in Lebanon (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 3:5-6).
