The country is witnessing a troubling surge in mob killings, custodial deaths, election-related violence, and attacks on minorities ahead of the 13th parliamentary election. According to the Manabadhikar Shongskriti Foundation (MSF), mob violence deaths more than doubled in January, alongside increases in custodial deaths, unidentified bodies, and widespread political clashes. Law enforcement agencies are being criticized for failing to curb violence and instead engaging in politically motivated case-making, creating fear among citizens. Violence against women, children, and minority communities has also risen sharply. These developments signal a serious breakdown in law and order, threatening public safety, voter confidence, and the credibility of the upcoming election. Urgent, impartial action by the government is needed to restore justice, accountability, and peace.

Pray that violence, mob attacks, and bloodshed will cease, and that God’s peace will prevail across the nation. Pray for the safety of women, children, and minority communities facing increasing attacks and intimidation. (The Holy Bible, Psalm 146:9).

Pray that those responsible for mob killings, custodial deaths, and political violence will be exposed and brought to justice without bias. Pray that fear and violence will not suppress voters, and that the election will be conducted peacefully and truthfully. (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 1:17).
