Laos is investing in education and health through two major projects. The Ministry of Education and Sports, with the Education Development Fund, will spend US$1.3 million to improve schools in four southern provinces: Khammuan, Savannakhet, Xekong, and Salavan. The project focuses on secondary education, upgrading classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and digital learning facilities, and supporting students aged 10–18, especially in rural areas. It also provides technical support to improve teaching quality and align with the national Education and Sports Sector Development Plan. Separately, the World Bank approved a US$35 million project to strengthen primary education and health services over six years. This project will train teachers, improve classroom management, and modernize teacher colleges. In health, it will enhance training, licensing, and staff management, especially in rural hospitals and health centers. Both projects aim to improve skills, access, and workforce retention, helping Laos raise education standards, expand learning opportunities, and provide better healthcare services across the country.

Pray for the success of the newly launched projects to improve education and healthcare in Laos. Pray for an improved healthcare and education system in the country (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 22:23).

Pray for free and easy access to both healthcare and the education system for all civilians in Laos. Pray for improved management of the public sector in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 118:25).
