The Christian faith in Vietnam has been growing under the radar during the years of warfare, suffering, and transition. During the Vietnam War, the number of churches was small, and some Christians needed to disband or go underground. There was a time of difficulty in Vietnam after the war, and religion was under close observation. But over time, small groups of Christians have been reestablished, although most worship in small apartments or homes and do their worship quietly in respect for the Vietnamese government and their neighbors. The Christian faith is spread through actions, such as education, food, and taking care of the poor. Vietnam is a land of Buddhism and communism, and therefore, being a Jesus follower is not easy, and their churches tend to stay small. Despite these conditions, Jesus’ followers continue to pray, study the Bible, and tell others about Jesus. They believe that their faith provides peace, hope, and direction in their lives. Even within a land influenced by conflict and suffering, Jesus’ followers believe that God is bringing healing, togetherness, and true peace to their lives.

Pray for a breakthrough in the strongholds of cultural and legal barriers among the unreached in Vietnam. Pray for more spiritual hunger in the hearts of all the unreached in the area, which can only be satisfied by the Love of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior (The Holy Bible, John 6:35).

Pray for divine protection and strength for the small number of believers in Vietnam. Pray for freedom of religion and Worship in the country (The Holy Bible, Matthew 10:31).
