Cyber slavery linked to scam centers in Laos and nearby countries has become a serious human rights crisis. Independent experts say these scam centers are run by organized criminal networks that recruit people from many countries with fake job offers and force them to work in online fraud and digital crime operations. These operations are now common in Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia and involve hundreds of thousands of trafficked workers held against their will in compounds where they face violence, torture, beatings, and poor living conditions if they try to escape. The scams often involve fraud through social media, fake investment schemes, romance scams, and gambling fraud, making huge illegal profits while enslaving victims. Victims may be held unless families pay ransoms or can be moved between compounds by criminal groups. Governments and regional law enforcement are under international pressure to act, and some crackdowns have begun, but the problem remains widespread.

Pray for the lawmakers in Laos and its neighboring countries to come up with more stringent laws to curb cyber slavery linked to scam activities in the region. Pray for peaceful cooperation between the countries to fight these cyber fraud activities more effectively (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 15:22).

Pray for divine protection upon victims of cyber slavery in Laos and its neighboring countries. Pray for the governments in the region to take immediate and effective action to deliver the trafficked workers from all evil (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 33:27).
