A drone attack hit the town of Kalogi in Sudan’s South Kordofan region, killing at least 50 people, including 33 children, at a kindergarten. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group fighting the army in Sudan’s civil war, were accused of carrying out the attack, while the RSF said the army had attacked a market and a fuel depot in Darfur. Sudan has been in conflict since April 2023 after a power struggle between the army and RSF, who were once allies. Reports say missiles from drones struck the school twice, and civilians and medics who tried to help were also attacked. The UN children’s agency said the killing of children in school is a serious violation of their rights and called for an immediate stop to attacks and safe access for aid. Fighting in the Kordofan region, which has nearly eight million people, has increased as the army advances toward Darfur, causing more civilian casualties and destruction.

Pray for the Holy Spirit of GOD to open the minds and hearts of the warring parties in Sudan, so that they can see the damage their fight for power is causing to the nation and its people. Pray for the Holy Spirit of GOD lead them towards repentance and Truth (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 8:6).

Pray for divine protection upon all the people, especially children, in Sudan. Pray for the LORD’s comfort for the grieving families. Pray for the end of war and rebirth of hope and a bright future for the nation, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen (The Holy Bible, John 14:13-14).
