Eritrea has many people groups, and a large number of them remain unreached by the Christian faith. Ten of the 15 groups, or about two-thirds, are unreached, and seven are frontier groups where almost no Christian work happens. This is because the government allows only a few recognized churches and closely monitors religious activity. Christians who belong to unapproved churches or who convert from other religions face arrest, imprisonment, or harassment. Many believers are forced into military service, and others flee the country to escape persecution. These strict laws, combined with fear of arrest, make it very difficult for missionaries to work openly or for unreached groups to access Christian teaching. As a result, millions of people, including young children, grow up with little or no knowledge of the gospel. Many Christians meet in secret and practice their faith quietly, while unreached groups remain largely untouched.

Pray for a breakthrough in the political system in Eritrea. Pray for the end of the oppressive regime in the nation. Pray for more religious freedom for all divisions of believers in the country, both to Worship and to share the Good News with their neighbors (The Holy Bible, Psalm 12:5).

Pray for the LORD to raise great testimonies of believers in Eritrea so that their lives will be testimonies that win souls for Christ (The Holy Bible, 1 Peter 3:15).
