Heavy rain in central Vietnam caused deadly floods and landslides, killing at least seven people, injuring many others, and leaving thousands stranded. In Khanh Hoa province, a major landslide crushed a bus traveling through the Khanh Le pass, killing six people and trapping passengers until rescuers arrived hours later. Other landslides blocked important mountain roads and damaged work sites, killing another worker and leaving one missing. Flooding also hit cities and industrial areas, submerging railway tracks and halting trains with hundreds of passengers. Factories in an industrial park were flooded by more than a meter of water, causing power cuts and stopping production. Roads across the Central Highlands were blocked, and several villages were cut off. In some areas, tornadoes added to the destruction, tearing roofs from homes and uprooting trees. Scientists warn that climate change is making storms stronger and increasing the risk of floods and landslides in Vietnam.
Pray for the rescue, relief efforts, and aid to reach the victims of heavy rain and landslides in Vietnam at the right time. Pray for divine protection upon all the civilians, especially children, from natural calamities (The Holy Bible, Psalm 17:8).
Pray for the LORD’s comfort for the families of the deceased victims of the natural disasters in Vietnam. Pray for the LORD’s healing power upon all the injured victims (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 57:18).
