An Israeli strike on the Ain al-Helweh refugee camp in southern Lebanon killed at least 13 people and wounded others, according to Lebanon’s health ministry. The attack hit a car near the Khalid bin al-Walid mosque, and reports later said the mosque and a nearby centre were also struck. Israel said it targeted a Hamas training compound in the area, though Hamas denied having any military sites inside Palestinian camps in Lebanon. Earlier the same day, two more people were killed in Israeli strikes on cars elsewhere in the south. Israel has continued to carry out attacks in Lebanon despite a ceasefire agreed last November after months of fighting with Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas. Over the past two years, Israeli strikes in Lebanon have killed many members of Hezbollah and Palestinian groups. The violence follows Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel and the continuing war in Gaza.
Pray for the LORD’s intervention in Lebanon to thwart the evil-doers and their plans against the peace and prosperity of the nation. Pray for the divine protection for all the innocent civilians from airstrikes (The Holy Bible, Zechariah 2:8).
Pray against all unholy relations between Hezbollah and Hamas or any terrorist groups in the region. Pray that the evil-doers behind these alliances are quickly brought to justice. Pray for a breakthrough against the stronghold of Hezbollah over the nation, Lebanon (The Holy Bible, Psalm 129:4).
