Heavy rain and floods have badly hit central Vietnam, especially Huế, Đà Nẵng, Quảng Trị, and Quảng Nam provinces, killing at least 37 people, leaving five missing, and injuring 78. Rivers like the Bồ, Hương, and Vu Gia–Thu Bồn have risen sharply, flooding thousands of homes and farms. Over 12,600 houses were damaged or destroyed, nearly 7,900 hectares of crops were submerged, and more than 64,000 livestock and poultry died. Roads, power lines, and communication networks were badly damaged, leaving many areas isolated. Rescuers are bringing food, clean water, and medicine to affected families while repairing homes and restoring services. At the same time, Typhoon Kalmaegi is moving toward central Vietnam with strong winds up to 160 km/h, heavy rain, and high waves, increasing the risk of more flooding and landslides. Authorities have ordered evacuations, secured boats, and reinforced dykes to protect people and property. Experts warn that climate change is making storms stronger and more frequent, causing serious losses to lives and the economy.

Pray for divine comfort for the families and friends of the deceased flood victims in Vietnam. Pray for divine protection for all the people in the country during this rainy season (The Holy Bible, Psalm 62:8).

Pray for improved infrastructure in Vietnam. Pray for the government to take immediate action to safeguard the safety of its citizens and the infrastructure (The Holy Bible, Psalm 22:19).
