Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening strategic ties with the United States based on openness, equitability, and mutual respect to promote global and regional peace and prosperity. Following a bilateral meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on the sidelines of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, Anwar said discussions focused on enhancing trade and financial cooperation, particularly in foreign exchange stability, financial market resilience, and transparent governance. Anwar also expressed appreciation to President Donald Trump and his delegation for their visit to Kuala Lumpur, describing it as a reflection of the U.S.’s strong commitment to a constructive and mutually beneficial partnership with Malaysia.

Abba Father, bless the relationship between Malaysia and the United States. Let their cooperation foster understanding, peace, and equality among nations for the good of all people. Amen (The Holy Bible, Romans 14:19).

Lord, bless both nations with economic growth that uplifts the poor and sustains justice. Guide their financial systems to remain honest, stable, and transparent in all dealings. Amen (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 28:12).
