Thailand is facing serious labor shortages that are affecting many industries like farming, fishing, manufacturing, and construction. This problem grew worse after over half a million Cambodian workers left the country following a border dispute and military conflict between Thailand and Cambodia. The country’s population is also aging, which means fewer people are available to work. These challenges have made it harder for Thailand to keep its economy growing and meet demand in key sectors. In response, the government has started allowing refugees living in camps near the Myanmar border to work legally for the first time. Over 87,000 refugees have lived in these camps for decades, relying on foreign aid that is now shrinking. This move aims to ease labor shortages while helping refugees support themselves. Officials hope this new policy will help boost the economy and set an example for other countries dealing with similar issues.

Pray for the success of the new rule to ease labor shortages in Thailand, as well as to provide employment opportunities for the refugees in the nation. Pray for economic growth in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 118:25).

Pray for the Thai government to take action to solve the labor shortage problem in the nation. Pray for improved manpower in all the sectors in Thailand (The Holy Bible, Psalm 22:19).
