In El-Fasher, a city in Sudan, a terrible drone attack hit a shelter where many people were hiding. Dozens of people died, including children, women, and older people. The attack happened at a camp inside a university, and after the drones struck, artillery shells followed. Many bodies were burned, and rescuers worked quickly to save the wounded and pull people from the rubble. Hospitals are overwhelmed and struggling to care for the injured, with doctors treating patients on floors and in hallways. The city has been under siege for over a year by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). If they take control, they will control the whole Darfur region. The United Nations says there are about 250,000 people trapped in El-Fasher with little food or medicine. The ongoing violence and hunger are causing a serious crisis. Many fear the city could soon fall, and the world watches with growing concern for the people trapped there.

Sovereign LORD, we lift our prayers for the people trapped in El-Fasher city in Sudan. Defend the city for Your Own Name’s sake, LORD. Have mercy on the people trapped between violence and hunger in the city and deliver them from the evil-doers (The Holy Bible, 2 Kings 19:34).

Almighty GOD, we plead for Your intervention in Sudan to end the war and violence. We pray that the Sudanese people shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward. Let the zeal of the LORD of hosts do this. Amen (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 37:31-32).
