The Higher Population Council (HPC) reported that Jordan’s divorce rates have remained stable from 2015 to 2024, showing no alarming rise. Based on figures from the Chief Islamic Justice Department, 27% of divorces occurred before consummation, meaning no children were affected and opportunities for remarriage remained high. Additionally, 19% of marriages involved previously divorced women, indicating continued social acceptance of remarriage. Reversible divorces made up about 23% of total cases. The divorce rate averaged 2.4 per 1,000 people, or 1.8 when excluding pre-consummation cases. The HPC said this consistency shows balance in Jordan’s family structure and marital life despite economic challenges.
Abba Father, , bless every marriage with patience, love, and humility. Teach husbands and wives to forgive quickly, to speak kindly, and to stand together in faith. May Your peace reign in every home, and Your love be the foundation that cannot be shaken. Amen (The Holy Bible, Ephesians 4:2).
Lord, comfort those who are hurting from the pain of divorce or broken relationships. Heal their hearts, restore their confidence, and remind them that their worth is found in You. Let Your presence bring peace where there is sorrow, and new beginnings where there was loss. Amen The Holy Bible, Psalm 34:18).
