Last month, Ghanaian peacekeepers and the Lebanese Armed Forces helped farmers in three villages near the Blue Line during the tobacco harvest. Farming is the main source of food and income for families there, but working close to the border is dangerous. Old bombs from past wars, rising tensions, and blocked access make farming risky. With help from the peacekeepers and soldiers, about 60 farmers were able to safely reach their fields and finish the harvest. Their presence gave the farmers a sense of safety and allowed them to work without fear. This support not only protected people but also helped keep their farms going, which is vital for the whole community. It also built trust between the locals, the United Nations peacekeepers, and the Lebanese army. This kind of help happens often during planting and harvest seasons and shows the peacekeepers’ and soldiers’ strong commitment to helping people live safer and more stable lives in South Lebanon.

Praise GOD for the help of peacekeepers and soldiers in the harvest season in Lebanon. Pray for peace and stability in South Lebanon (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 3:27).

Pray for divine protection and provision for all the Lebanese families, especially in South Lebanon, from all evil. Pray for the implementation of innovative farming technologies to improve the lives and livelihoods of families who depend on farming (The Holy Bible, Psalm 118:25).
